Arya walked into the kitchen and found Sansa making tea.
“What are you doing?”
Sansa looked up.
“Making tea.”
Arya nodded.
“Can I ask you something?”
Sansa smiled.
“You can ask.”
Arya pointed at the cups.
“Why did you make two?”
Sansa paused.
“Because I'm expecting someone.”
Arya narrowed her eyes.
“Who?”
Sansa smiled.
“That's a secret.”
Arya crossed her arms.
“In this family, secrets usually end badly.”
Sansa laughed.
“Not this one.”
Arya looked at the second cup again.
“Then why are you smiling?”
Sansa took a sip.
“Because this secret has excellent timing.”
Arya stared at her.
“That doesn't answer anything.”
“It wasn't supposed to.”
Arya pulled out a chair.
“Fine. I'll wait.”
Sansa smiled.
“You always were patient.”
“I'm an assassin. Patience is part of the job.”
“Fair point.”
A few minutes passed.
Arya looked toward the door.
“Are they coming?”
Sansa nodded.
“Soon.”
“Do I know them?”
“Probably.”
“Do I like them?”
Sansa smiled.
“That's the question I'm most curious about.”
Arya sighed.
“You are enjoying this.”
“A little.”
A knock came from the door.
Arya immediately reached for her sword.
Sansa laughed.
“Put that away.”
“You said it was a secret.”
“I said it was a good one.”
Arya lowered her hand.
“If this is another family meeting, I'm leaving.”
Sansa opened the door.
A messenger handed her a small package.
Arya stared at it.
“That's the secret?”
Sansa smiled.
“No.”
She opened the package.
Inside was a box of lemon cakes.
Arya blinked.
“You made me wait for cakes?”
Sansa smiled.
“You asked who I was expecting.”
Arya grabbed one.
“I hate your secrets.”
Sansa laughed.
“You love the cakes.”
“That's different.”
