Hermione looked at Ron across the common room.
"Ron, can I ask you one simple question?"
Ron immediately put down his book.
"Why does that sound like a trap?"
Hermione smiled.
"Because you're finally learning."
Ron sighed.
"Fine. What's the question?"
Hermione opened her notebook.
"Why did you tell Harry you'd finished your homework?"
Ron blinked.
"Because technically, I had."
Hermione raised an eyebrow.
"Technically?"
"I finished the first sentence."
Hermione stared at him.
"That's not homework, Ron."
Ron shrugged.
"It was a very important sentence."
Hermione closed her notebook.
"What sentence?"
Ron grinned.
"'I should probably start my homework.'"
Hermione sighed.
"I'm adding that to the evidence."
