Ron noticed Hermione writing something in a notebook.
“What's that?”
Hermione closed it.
“Nothing.”
Ron looked suspicious.
“You've been saying ‘nothing’ a lot lately.”
Hermione smiled.
“I'm keeping track.”
“Keeping track of what?”
“How many times you ignore my advice.”
Ron laughed.
“You actually count those?”
Hermione calmly replied,
“Of course.”
Ron suddenly looked nervous.
“How many are there?”
Hermione opened the notebook.
“This week?”
Ron nodded.
She turned a few pages.
“Thirty-seven.”
Ron stared at her.
“Thirty-seven?”
Hermione nodded.
“Thirty-eight now.”
Ron frowned.
“I haven't even said anything!”
“Exactly.”
Ron folded his arms.
“That's not fair.”
Hermione smiled.
“You also have a section for excuses.”
Ron looked horrified.
“There are sections?”
“Three.”
“What are the other two?”
Hermione closed the notebook.
“Things you promised you'd remember… and things you definitely should have remembered.”
Ron sighed.
“Can I see how bad it is?”
Hermione handed him the notebook.
Ron read the first page and immediately handed it back.
“Actually, I'd rather remain uninformed.”
Hermione smiled.
“That's going in the notebook too.”
