I smiled.
“Your smile.”
She looked pleased.
“Really?”
“Absolutely.”
She leaned closer.
“And what's the second thing?”
I thought for a moment.
“Your confidence.”
She smiled.
“Good answer.”
Then she asked,
“And the third?”
I looked at her.
“How many answers am I allowed to give?”
She laughed.
“As many as you need.”
“That's dangerous.”
“Why?”
“Because I might start listing things all night.”
She smiled.
“Go ahead.”
“Your laugh.”
She nodded.

She raised an eyebrow.
“Pretending not to what?”
“Notice me.”
She laughed.
“You're very confident.”
“You already said you liked that.”
She shook her head.
“I said I liked my confidence.”
“Exactly.”
“That wasn't what I meant.”
“Maybe.”
She smiled.
“What's your favorite thing about me?”
I looked at her for a moment.
“The fact that you keep asking questions you already know the answers to.”
She smiled.
“Maybe I just like hearing you say them.”
