My wife looked at me and asked:

“Why are you so quiet tonight?”

I said:

“I'm just thinking.”

She smiled and asked:

“About what?”

“You.”

She immediately smiled.

Then she asked:

“What were you thinking about?”

I said:

“How lucky I am to have you.”

She hugged me and said:

“Aww, that's so sweet.”

I smiled and whispered:

“I was also wondering how much it would cost to replace the couch after you threw the remote at me.”

She stopped smiling.

I stopped talking.
